21SF and the new Surefire X300 Ultra w/PICS.
Two weeks ago I picked up the new Surefire X300 Ultra...500 Lumens of Weaponlight Goodness!
You'd have to see the performance to believe it, a throw monster with crazy spill. At 25' the spill is 45' wide, yet has no problem lighting up objects 400'+ away.
SF says it leans slightly toward the green spectrum to be optimized for human vision, to my eyes and compared to all my lights, it is a perfect white tint with a clean beam.
The toggle switch is smooth and flawless, the build quality is as you'd expect from Surefire, and the fit on my Glocks is perfect.
Before adding the light, this 21SF had 6200 rounds through it without a single glitch, and another 640 rounds since adding the light.
Cor-Bon 185g +P DPX = 40 rds.
Winchester Ranger RA45TP = 50 rds
Blazer Brass 230g = 100 rds
Blazer Aluminum 230g = 100 rds
Federal 230g = 100 rds
Reloads 230g Zero Bullet = 250 rds
I owned two of the X300's and they were great lights, but the new X300 Ultra just upped the ante pretty heavy!

Nice combo! Great pic! Congrats, you'll be pretty well protected with that setup.

I haven't tried one of the Ultras, but it seems like way too much light for indoors.
I want one for a carbine though. That would be good for clearing big outdoor areas. Which I occasionally do...

Nice setup and pics.
500 lumens is a overkill for indoor use. Shine it at a white wall and see what it does to your vision at night. In my opinion 200 lumens is about the sweet spot.

Surefire shipped 10 of the new X300 Ultras to the LED warehouse. I was fortunate to be at the front of the line, they sold out quickly.

Nice pic!
I've seen some side-by-side comparison pics of the X300 and the X300 Ultra, and it's literally a night & day difference in brightness & spill from the light. But they also said the Ultra runs & feels a lot more hot, but that's probably expected.
I have 2 on order since they were only $202 shipped from ****** last week, and just got back in stock and will be shipping either today or tomorrow (they're only 10 min away from me so I should get them quick). Can't wait to use them.
EDIT: I guess the site doesn't like the store where I bought it from

Thanks Dave, and yes there is.
It's amazing what Surefires been able to do with the their TIR optics. Insane throw AND great spill...great times we live in!

Have ran it pretty heavy during some night shooting sessions and haven't noticed a difference. To be fair though, I wasn't looking for it.
