Is It Just Me?
I have owned subcompacts suck as glock 26,27, H&K P2000sk and man I just don't like subcompact. I can conceal a Compact like a Glock 19,23 or H&K P30. I know there are a lot of subcompact owners here and as we all know its all a matter of preference and what you like! My father seems to agree with me and its because of the small grip even with the pinky extension, I just don't care for them. Anyone else agree or disagree?

Well, my 26 with a Pearce pinky extension fits my hand better than a 19/23.

I put GAP floorplates on my mags for my 26 instead of the finger extension, and I'm liking my 26 a whole bunch more now.

Some here have reported shooting the Glock 26 better than larger 9mm Glock versions. I like the size of the G26 better than the G19 for carry. That said I will readily admit that the G19 is a great choice for one pistol that can be concealed, used for training at the range and carried in a duty holster.

^^This.
GAP floorplates allowed me lock in my grip. Without them, I don't think I would have kept the 27.

I love my G23/357 sig for carry. I feel like it can be concealed very readily without any trouble. I still haven't found an IWB holster I love for it, but the Glock Sport/Combat holster has been working great for OWB.

I never could get along with the subs.
They do conceal a little better, but for me, more uncomfortable to carry. The muzzle is right under my belt and presses into my sciatic nerve.
A little longer barrel carries better for me.

I like the carry and shooting them. No problem with the grips.
I am breaking in a new holster with a 4" .357 Magnum now.

My only Glock is a G27.
Although I shoot her fine as a sub-compact.
I can conceal a compact just as easy.
And prefer having the extra capacity.
So my G27 always sports a XGrip and G32/23/19 mags.
And when I wanted and HK?
I knew I really wanted a P2K 357 not P2000SK.
And a P30 40.
And a HK45C.
But I digress.
So Yes, I too prefer compacts.

I love my 26, sometimes my 19 is just too big.

To each their own but I'm of the same opinion, I just don't do well with the subcompacts. I'm a compact or larger guy, my edc is a G19.

Due to hot temps here, my 27 gets carried more than any other Glock I own. They'll bury me with my 27.

I love the compact size Glocks, I wouldn't trade my 23 or 32 for anything. They are the perfect size for me.

I carry the 27 with no extensions. The extensions always pinch my pinky.
Sometimes I carry the 19 or 23, but usually in the winter. I shoot the 26 and 19 about the same, with split times a hair faster with the 19. The 27 took some practice to get comfortable with.
Not to derail the thread, but I recently did my own at home hollow point testing with different loads and different glocks. The 27 preferred the 180gr round. The best load I shot out of the 27 was the 180 HST. Consistent expansion and penetration, with the 165 ranger t being a close second.
ETA: The 27 goes everywhere with me. It's worth practicing with. You can't beat the size, weight, capacity, reliability for a CC gun. 10 rounds of .40 in a gun that literally disappears on me.

I carry my 26 in a holster in my back pocket and it is easily drawn and concealed with a shirt. I find the 26 to be very accurate without any extension and have qualified with it for Police qualification. Any full sized Glock is just to big to carry in my opinion especially in the back pocket.

I carry a G23/357 Sig in a Milt Sparks VM2 and love it. It is so comfortable I forget it's there, especially after it has been broken in a bit. The best way to get your hands on one is to sign up to be notified when they are in stock at Top Gun Supply:

I carry my G27 with G23 13 round magazines and the A&G grip extensions. Now the grip fits my hand better, and the extra rounds are a plus.

My Glock 19 rides with me 85% of the time the other 15% of the time it's my 26. I reserve using the 26 for times where I feel I must really be discreet. I have no issues shooting the 26 and don't mind curling my pinky under the grip.

the lack of pinky finger realestate on a subcompact has no negative impact on your group strength

I find the subcompacts more useful as they conceal better. The grip size doesn't bother me.

The subcompacts are my most frequent carry since I typically either appendix carry IWB or Smartcarry, short slide & grip is at a premium.

There's noting you can realistically do with a G19 that you also can't do with a G26. I own both, carrying the G26 in plainclothes and the G19 in uniform. I shoot both equally well. The difference is that my hand hurts after three qual courses (180 rounds) with the G26. With my G19, I'm just getting warmed up at that point.
I can change magazines and give myself a choice of "standard" 10 round, "GAP" 10 round, "Pearce pinky extender" 10 round, "factory +2" 12 round, or use a G19 magazine for 15 rounds. I use the "GAP" magazine for pocket carry (in a DeSantis Nemesis), and the +2 magazine in-gun for belt holster carry. The G19 magazine is always my spare. My "standard" 10 rounders are in my duty bag as emergency back-ups (in a Fobus paddle double mag carrier).
With the change of a magazine, you can turn a G26 into a G19 - for all intents and purposes. The reverse isn't true; you won't be carrying that G19 in a pants pocket holster.
Just my experience - no hate here. I use both the G19 and G26 during my workweek. I'm happy to have weapons custom-tailored to my preferences.

I carry the full size Glocks, primarily, or my G38.
I have huge hands, but have always enjoyed shooting the subs at the range, but with pinky curled under, always. Tried the GAP floor plates, tried the Pierce +O, and never cared for 'em.
One of my latest favorites, and I may start carrying it, is the G39 with G38 magazine/A&G adaptor. Like a snubbie revolver, this combo is extremely fast out of the holster and on target!
