Picked up a Pistol Dynamics 1911 by Paul Liebenberg off GB
Thanks to our resident 1911 guru, Brian, aka, BAC, I found a Pistol Dynamics built from the ground up by Liebenberg, from it's original owner, whom it was built for. Gun is hardchromed and in great shape. It does have some slight oxidation on the barrel hood and muzzle end of the barrel (which has not been hardchromed) and rear sight, from being carried daily in Florida for the past 6 years, but a call to Chris at Metaloy eased my mind on that, as he said he could zap that off in a jiff. I plan on getting the barrel flush crowned, swapping out to a new all black read sight (the front sight is a gold bead), having the hammer hardchromed to match the gun and having either a silver Wilson 3 hole trigger or most likely a silver Nighthawk 3 hole trigger added. The gun has a round count of about 1000 rounds through it, so it's just getting broken in. Comes with all the paper work too. Here's a few pics...

Awesome Joe
I'm so glad you decided to get it. Liebenberg is a master 1911 smith. I'm sure he won't be building forever, so having one of his custom guns is pretty special.
I'll post some pics of mine when I get home. I'm mobile right now. I do like the old PD logo that mine does not have.

I like your plans too, that trigger definately has to go, and HC would look better for the hammer as well. Big congrats!!

Thanks Cody. Been catching some flack on making any changes. Personally, I think it'll look better with the changes I've mentioned. Plus, I'm the one paying for it, so...

Thanks Joe.
Here's the pic of mine from the Pistol Dynamics website. Its the first Signature model built on the in-house frame, hence the serial # SIG1001.

Where do you plan on getting the barrel done? I want to get it done on my 1911 and have no idea where to send it...

I usually have Chuck Rogers do them, but Chris Peters at Metaloy is going to hardchrome the hammer and do the sight installation and flush crowning while it's at his shop. He's done a few for me and they've turned out nice.
