If your really into them...they can be had. I forget what ones are rarer... United Cutlery or Hibben. I believe United Cutlery fetches the premium $$ of the two.

It's there, the pic just sucks. Yeah the zaan was one of the first ones I did. Half way through I was thinking that I should've started on a cheap knife.

It really is a very nice blade, it is very, very well made, well thought out (very fast) and uses the finest materials available. Not to mention I love the blade profile.
When you know who is behind SF knives it also instills a lot of confidence. I like it better than many of the "it' customs. It is that good.

I purchased a set of rail covers on another forum that were stippled. Upon delivery and confirmation was told by the seller if I had anything else I needed done to contact him.
One prior knife pic someone posted a stippled Glock Knife, so I figured why not let him have at it.
I had a plain blade, so I ordered a saw back to compliment the one I had.
Long and short of it, I received the stippled Glock knife today.
Besides looking great, what an improved difference in grip.
He did a great job, and in a timely manner. Great person to deal with.

here is my favorite knife..Benchmade Elishewitz. i bet i have had this knife for about 15 years. i mistakenly used it to butcher a hog and wow..what a mess. got it cleaned up.
i am an Engineer in a tunnel excavation job. a knife could save my life. we shut off sections of the tunnel with heavy tarps. like bulkheads..in a fire, you had to cut thru them. my knife was up to the task. i used it to cut firehose, and some super thick rope. the miners were always amazed. i love this knife. i wore out the bushings, and the blade got loose, but Benchmade fixed it.no questions.

There have been a couple of Elishewitz designed Benchmades. Yours is an Ares. Excellent design; it was recently re-introduced in M390 steel.
