I should have never sold my Springfield MC Operator.......
I should have never sold my Springfield MC Operator.......I had one I purchased Feb 2011, and ended up selling it a few months ago.
I really regretted selling it.
On Friday, I walked into my local shop, and they had literally JUST signed for a box of two of them, fresh from Springfield, beings they deal with Springfield Armory directly......so those of you looking for them......Springfield just released a batch of them last week. Be on the lookout.
I decided to get one today. At $1040, the price is unbeatable.
I've yet to encounter a softer shooting .45 ACP than the Springfield MC Operator.........
Fresh from the box-
All cleaned up and lubed with SLIP 2000 EWL. Nothing really needs to be done to this except maybe some Wilson Combat 47D mags.

Nice! Did it come with the Pac wrap around grips? At first I thought they were really ugly, but after I got my Delta Elite, I sort of like them now. Old school...

Congrats on your new Springfield.
In 1984, I traded a series 70 Colt Commander for a 1962 Chevy II that I turned into a 9 second street car. I wish I had the cash to buy the car outright instead of doing the trade.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
deadite, it did come with the Pac wrap-arounds. I think they compliment the gun perfectly. To be honest, when I think " Springfield Operator" I think Pachmayr Wrap-around grips, because those grips are pretty much synonymous with the Springfield Operator.

My Operator is the only pistol I would never trade or sell. Great to see Springfield letting the public look and buy again... Get the Wilsons and shoot

I was surprised when the Marines didn't pick this 1911 over the Colt.

I predict it won't take long for the crap Colt calls "quality" to show it self. (cracked frames, slides, barrels, etc..)
The Marines will be carrying Springfield 1911's.

Beautiful. Mine is a keeper for sure. It's great when you get a firearm and you think "this is the one ive been looking for". Makes you not feel so bad about getting rid of the iffy ones.
