LaRue Tactical PredatAR .556 18" 4½ month wait!
I just placed my order on Friday and now the waiting game starts. I'm so excited to finally own an AR. Pretty much been saving for.one for over a year but every time I had the money, something else came up and the money went. Everything I have heard about this rifle screams top notch. So now I'm on the hunt for accessories. Its going to be pretty much for fun and coyotes. Looking into a decent 6-24x scope. Also some back up sights would be nice too. Any suggestions. I obviously have time to stock up on mags and ammo and will do so soon before the prices go out of control again. Anyone else have the PredatAR? Will it be worth the wait?

Yes, it will.
MagPul MBUS sights are unobtrusive and fine for your purposes.
Get a LaRue mount for the scope.
I'd suggest a Leupold VX-III or Nikon Monarch or better for scopes.

I've also just recently put in an order on a PredatAR - the 16" version. Did you speak with someone at LaRue who gave you the 4.5 month wait estimate? Or are you getting that from somewhere else? From what I've seen the estimates that they give out on wait time are very hit-or-miss...could be 3 months, could be 10 months.

You've done good! I recently got the chance to handle a OBR, not the same rifle as yours, but still a Larue. I've handled many ARs from different manufacturers from various shops. The Larue was beyond solid, and had a feel that others just don't have. It was by far the nice feeling, most sturdy, beautiful AR i've handled. I sir, am jealous!

It can vary based on barrel length and other factors, not just the rifle.

Someone on AR15.com said that theirs just shipped, order was placed in September...that's not a bad wait at all.
I'm thinking it will be worth the wait.

Wait Time
I'm at 12 weeks for mine. Still in queue as of right now.
