Browning 1911 .22
My wife and I just got home with our new Browning 1911 .22 we purchased at our local gun shop.
It was too dark to shoot it, but tomorrow we will take it out behind the barn to our shooting range, and put a few hundred rounds through it.
We bought it mainly for my wife, but I think I will also get a big kick out of shooting it.
All of the reviews I have read over the past couple of months have been really favorable.
My wife is very petite with small hands, and it fits her like a glove.
Will come back later and report on shooting it.
Jim

Anyway, it is just a standard Browning 1911 .22.
I was surprised however that it came with a nice 100th anniversary case. I thought those were included only with the first ones put out on the anniversary year 2011.

My wife and I just got back in from shooting our new Browning 1911 22.
We both love it. It is accurate, no problems whatsoever. Used bulk Federal .22 ammo.
I have fairly large hands and my wife is petite with small hands, but we both felt totally comfortable shooting it.
We shot mostly USPSA targets and had a blast.
I would recommend this as a fun gun for anyone.

1911 22
I bought a browning 1911 22 for my wife, she loves it, before she had a beretta neos but that gun was getting to heavy for her and she had a hard time racking the slide.
When your 79 years old you don't have a lot of strength in the old hands anymore!

Did you get the 1911-22 A1? The 85% sized gun.

Yes it is 85%. Ours is the standard and Browning also makes the compact model with a shorter barrel.

I picked one of those up myself. Nice little pistol. I haven't been able to find a holster or mag pouch for it yet. We shoot .22 2-gun matches at our local gun store. I need an IDPA style holster and mag pouch for it.
I tried to get Blade Tech to custom make them for me, but they can't do that right now. I hope somebody gets on the ball and starts making kydex holsters and mag pouches for them.
I had a hard time finding extra mags for it. I put my name on Midways email notification, and they now have them in stock.

Maybe I need to get out more, but I just saw one of these for the first time yesterday. Neat, cute, fun looking and pretty cool little plinker for the 1911 fan.
