I just reinstalled the smaller Green Light Pipe in my 17L as the size makes it much better..
I've seen were HI-VIZ sells the different colors & sizes for $1ea & will order a few red & orange in the .090" when I get a chance..
Here's the Link..
http://www.hivizsights.com/Indivdiua...on-1--P76.aspx
Thanks again for the Recoil Spring Hackett, the one with the scared tip would be just fine for a 17L,24,34 or 35.. I really need a new one as my July 1990 one has just about had it BUT still cycles & functions 100% so far..Amazing..
I look forward to getting it when you get a chance..THANKS!!
I picked a striker spring up from Bud's but it's not factory, Possibly Wolff?? & it feels wrong & springy so I took it back out, sounds like the trouble you had too, I only want a factory one for 100% reliability anyhow..

I scored a Taller Thinner Dawson sight from Chris here on the forum & thought I show a couple close ups I took of it..
I still need to wipe the slide with oil & dust it off after wiping it with a alcohol pad to clean it up for the front sight install..
I used blue 242 loctite on the sight base & micro bolt & had to turn about .025" off the supplied tool so it would fit down in the 17Ls hole so that it could be used..
It's very under cut & has a lot of light showing on either side of the slide which should make it quicker & easier on my aging eyes..
THANKS CHRIS!!
Gary

Dawson Front Sight & Factory Glock Adjustable Rear
I adjusted the rear up the extra .041" that the Dawson was taller than the original front & now have it at the top of it's adjustment..
It'll take a range trip to know how good it'll work with the 17Ls long sight radius..

I have to see if I still have it. I am in the process of moving and some stuff is still packed, and right now, I only know where my mossberg stuff is after getting a huge jump on that project! LOL

I'll let you know!

Now I'm thinking about a rear sight & likes the looks of the 018-004 being the Dawson Front is .205" tall & .105" wide..
http://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=SIGHTS+REAR%3AGlock+Rear+Sights:Glock+Black+Serrated+Rear+Sights
What other options are out there for a .205 x.105 front??

I found a 2nd Generation G24s Case yesterday @ The Gunshow for $5 & picked it up for my G17L.. They also had a 3rd Gen Tupperware G35 case that I passed on..
It gives my 17L a place to sleep in the safe & stacks great with the other cases..
I always see the newer clam shell cases but wanted an original era one & finally found one..

Glock trade

Hey guys I need help, I wanted to trade my brand new Gen 4 G27 and a 357 barrel and a 9mm barrel for a new gen 4 g19.

Then I meet a guy who has a brand new in the box G17L
Who might trade.

Do you guys think this is a good trade? I think I like the 19 better?

Currently, no. Another member here recently reporting in the General Glocking forum that he had contacted Glock and asked them about Gen4 17L and 24C models, and he was told there wouldn't be any Gen4 longslides (although Gen3 versions of those two models are still being produced occasionally).

EDIT -- Link to the thread I referenced above:
http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/show....php?t=1444762

They ARE making Gen4 versions of the G34 and G35, though. That may be as "longslide" as you can get in the newest Glocks.
