Time for a new speaker...Boehner has to go
I've started emailing my congressman, Frank Wolf.
Daily.
If Boehner agrees to raise taxes, theres no further point to republicans in DC. Said as much.
We do not have a revenue problem we have a spending problem.
The purge of Tea Party oriented members has to stop--NOW.
Without the Tea Party, Boehner would not be speaker.
John Boehner is a feckless, gutless coward and spiteful against his own party to boot. We will not survive with him as leader.
We need a revolt before its too late.

He is also a crybaby. When are we going to fix America? Never with lieberals and Rinos. We must go over the cliff, Obama signed it, Obama owns it. Then see where we are, what happens next. Boehner is toast! He is nothing without Tea Party support, time he got the message. Did I say he was a crybaby?

There is no question in my mind that Boehner will not be the speaker come next month. When he does gets voted out or step asides, which would be the smart thing to do.
This is going to give the dems so much fuel for the fire, they will gloat that the republicans can't get their act together.
The dems goal right now is to make sure they control the house in 2 years, this is why all the posturing is going on right now.

Yes sir, you are correct, I didn't like nor trust him before he was elected house speaker, his true colors are really coming out now.

Yeah, sure accross the board. Again with the generalizations. That answer is getting old and adds nothing to the discussion (although I have to agree with that somewhat). Do you use a 4 or 6 inch brush? Some people aren't as lucky (or intelligent) as you are and ALWAYS have the right answer the first time. Sometimes mere mortals make a mistake and then change their minds after they realize that. No need to continue to ridicule them. You win. You have, and will always be, the right one around here. I agree with most things you bring up (not that that matters to you), but your insulting delivery is annoying, and won't convince anybody of anything.
As to the OP, yes, that progressive kiss my ring looter needs to go.

Maybe it's high time you started paying attention to him?
Oh, and I don't paint with a brush, I prefer an Accuspray HVLP.

I'm not talking about what is said, it's how it's said. Doesn't matter anyhow...not important. I was looking at it more from a respect standpoint. If that's not important, then just forget it.
HVLP -- good idea. Saves time.

Don't attribute the problem to just one man.
Breitbart is reporting that Paul Ryan, who as Budget Committee chairman is in charge of the House budget, signed on to to Boehner's offer to raise taxes and may be involved in the conservative purge. Two of them were from his Budget Committee.
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Governm...e-was-involved
I also notice that Bachmann, the leader of the Tea Party caucus, has not been purged from the Finance Committee (which just let Corzine off the hook). Is the supposed outsider faithfully or cowardly toeing the line?

What do you think they've done by voting for budget increases and bailouts? It's called inflation and it's a hidden tax in that most don't understand it.
There were only ever a small few Republicans that were worth supporting and the party has made sure the libertarian minded few are being sought out. If you didn't support Paul this last primary season, you're part of the problem.

A lot of you guys have a major problem with putting Republicans on the defensive, which erases any common ground on an issue. Tone down petty and insulting language. Avoid using exaggerated statements for shock value, conservatives are mostly immune to that. Make honest, rational cases on topics. It may seem like a less effective method, but getting someone closer to your viewpoint is better than having your viewpoint ignored and your credibility destroyed, which leads to other arguments being automatically ignored. If someone doesn't agree with your viewpoint, don't automatically deride them for being too dumb to understand it. Be willing to admit to yourself that your viewpoint isn't always right, a libertarian writer's viewpoint isn't always right, and a non-libertarian writer's viewpoint isn't always wrong. Cultivate discernment. Pursuing truth is better than winning.

Drop any talk of Paul, Joos, or MJ. Focus on spreading economics in a calm, rational manner to everyone - conservatives, moderates, liberals.

Above all they want to maintain personal power.

A libertarian knows they don't know what is right for everyone so they allow people to make their own decisions as long as they respect the right of others to choose differently.
There is no truth beyond the fact that no one size fits all. Talking about issues like MJ are important because that while I don't care for it, I will fight to ensure those that want it are free to make their own choices just like those that don't want to do it.
I loathe the concept of communism too but as long as it isn't forced on me, people can buy land and live on a commune all they want.
Paul supporters knew the difference. The rest thought that supporting him would have been an endorsement of something other than liberty.
Conservatives, moderates or liberals... All just groups trying to push their beliefs onto someone else.
