Walmarts Colt LE6920.....
I stumbled onto a $1097 Colt LE6920 this morning at my local walmart. It came in Monday. I was surprised to hear that there has only been one other person asking for the colt since the recent uprise. They usually sell the lesser expensive guns she said. Of course I purshased it.
I was surprised of the lack of demand for this gun at this walmart.

Evidently the people spending more money on M4's are going to dedicated gun shops. The Colt I got for Christmas yesterday came from Walmart.

The Wal-Mart by me also has the same Colt carbine for sale. They must either have a lot of them in the stockroom or nobody wants to buy it. It has a price tag on it for around $960.00.
If Colt made a mid-length model and that was the model Wal-Mart carried, I would be tempted to pick it up. I just don’t care for the M4 look.

Actually I didn't just stumble on to it.....I found that on Walmarts website, you can put in your email and it will notify you when an item is in stock. I did this on monday, and this morning when I checked my email, it had the notice that it was back in stock. I was shocked. I called the store, and she said she had only one come in. I got there...and it wasn't in the case. Asked an associate, and she said, yes we have it...its still in the back.
2 interesting observations.....
they will not "hold" it
and, you do not pay until you pick it up (i am in illinois)
Very good day for me.

Our Walmarts around here (Akron) are pretty anti-gun. Lousy ammo selection even on good days. No guns at all.

All the walmarts here sold out and people who are looking for one checked walmart and then moved onto other gun stores, now walmart is restocking a few but people dont seem to be rechecking. I stopped in today but they didnt have any.

Sorry for the late reply but I paid 1050 for the 2t. A tad under msrp, I figured it wasn't a bad price.

I lived in Akron for 3 years in Goodyear Hts. Not a real fan of it. However, I do still have and enjoy my Glock 30 that I bought used at Dick’s Gun Room in 2001.

Ironically, my ex-wife called me the other evening to ask if that was a good price... she left the store with the last one they had in stock. (We haven't got along very well in the past, but one thing we do agree on is that every law abiding citizen has the RKBA.)

When I bought my Rock River in November, it was originally supposed to be a January tax return purchase. But miy wife and I both saw how difficult it was to find the national match model with removable carry handle, and NYS compliant (no flash hider or bayonet lug).
When I found one, we didn't hesitate to purchase. It actually came from Illinois. Was glad to get it.
Now today when I check their website for the heck of it, they don't have any RRA in stock, not stainless, not AWB compliant, not m4 style, not nuthin'. No Colt or Daniels left either. But I do see they have 1 AR left in stock, a DPMS 24" in .260 Rem.

Smokin762,
Grew up in Goodyear Heights, my wife and I live in Uniontown not far from Hartville, the Heights have really gone down hill since I graduated in the late eighties. My parents were smart and sold in 96 and moved to Mogadore. Didn't know Dick's gunroom was still around, been years since I been there.

That's awesome. I've always wanted a Colt 6920 but I refuse to pay stupid prices for it.
My walmarts gun rack has been cleaned out.

I will tell you here in local Wal-Marts they are selling within 1/2 hour of coming in the back door. They arrive via UPS/FedEx so there is no set time each day nor is there any advance notice. It really is a luck thing to be at the right place right time on these right now. Mine from Wal-Mart here this past Monday came from a Wal-Mart in Virginia. They could not sell them because they came with 20 round mags so they shipped them to Wal-Marts in Texas to sell. Two came in and were both sold back to back within 10 mins of hitting the floor. Could have been sold 2 more times while I was buying mine and doing the paperwork, people were vocal about the fact the store was out of them.
Keep trying and you will get lucky I bet

AS RUGGLES SAID keep looking they are out there , what i did was call 15 stores with 75 miles of me . i called all of them daily .
i took notes
asked when they got them
how many shipments a week
narrowed it down to 3 stores which doing the math showed best chance of scoring 1 . in 2 days i scored 2
sold both this week for 2 grand each . not to bad . i made enough to now buy me a free one
