I really like the 147s in .357 SIG, esp. in the Glock 33.

This new Double Tap offering seemed plenty powerful out of the Glock 32 a week or so ago.

You can tell that you're shooting a heavier bullet but muzzle blast is lower than the
screaming 115 and 125s.

That looks like a Glock M32.

Probably a whole 33 ounces fully loaded. My G17 weighs 32 ounces fully loaded with 115gr bullets.

Is Double Tap accurate in your Glock?
I haven't tried DT yet, but am really tempted.
Thanks.

The local Wal-Mart always has a box of WWB 125-grain FMJ available. That's the last round I'd want to have for self-defense in .357sig, unless it was the only one available.

Hmmm... Looks like all the 9mm, .45ACP, and other popular self-defense rounds are gone from the shelves around here.

Thank God I can get that .357sig after all!

Just so you know, DT has eroded away the respect they once had from their shooters. Their product has been clocking much slower than their advertised velocities. I don't know about their .357 variety but just wanted to give food for thought.

Thanks for the information.
I'll look for more reports on it.

Ok, you are going to love that G17. They are great weapons.

Is it a great weapon. I have shot jackrabbits with it back in 1989 CA. Since then I have used it in countless shooting matches.

If I were to get a 357SIG barrel for my 23, what barrel would you guys recommend? I know LW makes a low-priced one. What are the thoughts? Should I spend a few bucks more and get something different?

Well, here's something to consider...my buddies g32 stock bbl seemed to be fully supported (bottleneck advantage). That would be your most reliable option, as you would know. Second to that, if you are looking for the tighter than stock chamber I'm thinking Storm Lake might be the way to go. Seems their quality is consistent from what I've seen around the forums and the price isn't bad.

I have several after market barrels. the only conversion barrel I have is a KKM for gen3 g21 to .45 super. I mic'ed Underwood 45 super 185 gr GD, 45 acp +p and 45 acp after shot in the KKM barrel. no base expansion.

Not sure that KKM makes .357 Sig conversion but if so I think they would do it right

rusty

btw underwood 185's 45 super are pretty dang quick.

I too have a factory G32 barrel and the chamber support is unreal, probably the best I've seen on any barrel. I'd give KKM a look, I use those for my warm .40's and the .45 Super and they're fine barrels.

I will second this.

Great reliability. Great case support. Great ballistics.

What more could you ask for?

I wonder

If any MD or scientist has ever related the temporary wound cavity to stopping power?

All the articles are pretty out dated. I have not been able to find current using google.
