Im abandoning my wal mart chase probably. The sigs arent even on the site anymore and the clerk today said they have been getting one at a time and there is always a line for it before it even hits the case. I was able to get a bushmaster carbon 15 this morning for 700. Not exactly what i want but i do like it!

Glad you got one
I think the AR supply to WM is just about over. The ones received the last few weeks were already in the supply system when this started. That has dried up now so I think it will be a while before the flow starts again.

Yeah i think youre probably right. Now i just need to start watching for ammo! Lol! I think ammo supplies will bounce back pretty quickly. Pistol ammo at least is still pretty readily available in my area. I think i have a good way to buy future ars in my area so i will probably buy a couple more and see what i like and go from there.

I love when folks add an "s" to Walmart.
It's either "Walmart" or "Walmart's", not "Walmarts".
I think Larry the Cable Guy disucssed this a time or two on stage.

I understand the law, this is just the type of behavior that the libs point out when asking to take away our rights.... Let one of these guns be used in a crime and Katie bar the door...

Sure. You can request a blood sample and drug test too but you may be waiting a while to sell your item. I know that I personally will never buy a firearm face to face from anyone who requires more than a peak at a driver's license to verify I'm a Colorado resident. It's a free country and as the seller you're free to ask for whatever you want from the buyer though.

If GOUGING a fellow gun enthusiast that didn't get a chance to hit Wallymart as often as you did makes you feel like a fine upstanding gentleman - so be it.
But don't even try to rationalize your GOUGING by saying that you've introduced another grandfatherable "EBR" into the shooting ranks; someone would have bought that from WM regardless of your GOUGING re-sale.
And we can ALL claim to "understand gun laws" all day long and twice on Sundays - it's what the cowboys at the ATF understands that counts; their rules, their game.

For every 'GOUGING' seller there's a buyer voluntarily giving up his money for the item. If buyers weren't buying sellers wouldn't be able to get the prices they are. Stop acting like people are being FORCED to buy items. #freemarket

So im the bad guy for selling a gun i dont want for the most money possible? Im not forcing anyone to buy. If they can get a better deal elsewhere they are certainly free to do so. Stop crying because you cant find one. Im going to try to get another model next time and then something different the time after that. Maybe ill keep them all maybe ill sell one or two. Ill sell for whatever they are going for on auction sites. Seems pretty fair to me. Maybe you can have your buddy obama come in and regulate our free market on rifles eh comrade?

It's never 'gouging' if it's not an essential item. Nobody 'has' to have an AR. The market determines the value.
I have Saiga 12 magazines on ebay right now, bid up to over double what I paid for them. Am I gouging people?

I was wrong, local WM got a AR in today. Windham (SP?) Weaponry. Sold in under 10 min to a "lurker" These are a group of guys who hover around each morning waiting to see what if any guns come in, I would guess for resale but who knows. So maybe there will be more ARs arriving.

Yeah i have little hope of getting one at wal mart with that going on since i have a job and cant just sit around wal mart all morning. Lol! I could duck out for an hour if i got the email but it would take me 20 minutes to get there. Sucks because of everything run of the mill that the big boxes carry the one i want the most would be the sig from wal mart with the prismatic scope. Oh well.

Uhh, your'e the one who can't find the SIG you want?
Someone will be happy to sell you one. Then you can post how you've been taken by a fellow gunowner - boo hoo.
If you can't pay, then you can't play.

I said i want the sig. I didnt come on here crying that they are going for 2k at auction did I? To me an auction demonstrates true market value. If i was going to drop that kind of coin i would bave my builder build me something of much better quality than the sig. Give it up and go cry to obama. Your focus should be on writing your lawmakers and fighting for our rights, not running around crying about how the market values of ars is through the roof.

no luck at my walmart. Was told that it had to be a trade up store to carry the AR's. Nearest one is 35miles away. I'm sure guys that are local to that Walmart are waiting each day when the shipment comes in to buy it up. Not going to even bother to drive out to the store to know none are available and have to drive back home.

Don't blame you at all. With a 15 minute shelf life when they arrive it is a needle in a hay stack type deal IMO.
Looks like the pricing is leveling off at least on the secondary market.

3 ARs arrived yesterday locally. Two Colts and a DPMS, all sold instantly. Had AR lurkers back in store this morning but no ARs. Not using lurkers offensively just that is what they do, lurk around sporting goods waiting for anything to be put out.
Two more Windham (SP?) ARs coming locally from WalMarts in VA. That model comes with 30 rd mags (2) and can't be sold in that state so they are shipping them to local WM.

Brazoria county. South of Houston, along the Gulf Coast. First Capital of Texas and birthplace of Texas Independence
Colts are tough right now of course, the two that arrived yesterday were a surprise.
Seem store level orders are being allowed on all brands of ARs Wal-Mart carries except Sig. Now keep in mind just because a store can place an order does not mean it will be filled. Kinda like a big ol backorder system I guess. But Sig is not taking any orders at all. Unsure why.
Also these are orders for the store not for individuals, no way for stores to do that. Just to make that clear.
Ammo...well that is just not coming into stores with regards to the popular calibers selling right now.
