I may get an XDs. Its the only small polymer single stack .45 I have considered buying, it looks like they finally got it right with reliability and reasonable accuracy.

Rack the slide more forcefully.

Take a drive up here to Mountain Home sometime and I'll show you around our local shops...

As for comparison pics, I can contribute this:

Comparisons:
Here are some pictures comparing it size-wise to a Kahr CM9 and a Glock 30SF (using 9 round magazine).

With regard to holsters... I submit this:

General Firearms Forum

I picked up two Garrett Industries holsters for the XD-S. First is a Silent Thunder Fusion, a half leather, half leather-lined-kydex IWB holster. It is EXTREMELY comfortable, easy on/off, and conceals the XD-S like it's not even there. I have this same rig for my Glock 30, and I knew it was a good one, and this holster proved no different.

Second, is a Silent Thunder STX w/leather loops. This is a leather lined kydex OWB rig that snaps on/off to your belt with the included leather loops. It is comfortable and easy to carry, conceals relatively well for an OWB, and the gun slides in/out perfectly and quietly.

Congrats! It is one of my favorite carry pistols, and has been a lot of fun to practice with. Cantt wait for the 9x19 model to be released!

Guess I'll just have to pony up the $40 for one from S/A.How do you like the feel of the extended grip ? I can just barely squeeze my pinky onto mine with the 5 rounder.I found that I shoot it better with my pinky under the grip though.I really want to try the 7 rounder, just to see how it shoots with a full grip.

I agree about wrapping the pinky under with the 5 rounder. even though I can squeeze mine on there if I want.

Pierce makes a pinky extension, but it looked really long, but maybe it wouldn't be that bad if you filled/cut it down to just be like a 1/4" longer than the stock mag's baseplate, b/c that's all you really need I bet.
