Is there anyone who makes a lever gun in 7.62X39?
The title says it all. With the way things are looking for semi-autos, I'm thinking it might be wise to diversify into some less spooky looking rifles. Any manufacturers out there who make a lever gun in 7.62 Soviet?

The first one was made in 1894 by Winchester, for all practical purposes the 762 X39 is a close ballistic twin of the good ole Thurty Thurty. SJ 40

Pointy ammo doesn't work so well in most lever actions and box magazibne lever actions are pretty rare (I don't know if any are in current production).

^^^^^this either a detachable, like the Winchester 88, or rotary like the Savage 99 would be the way but neither is going to "come back" for the 7.62x39

I would tend to think the same. But after seeing all these levergun threads lately, I find myself hankering for another. On the Henry website last night, I see they make it in .17 HMR. I was very surprised to see this offering. Henry makes a fine rifle by the way. Got a Henry Big Boy Deluxe in 44 mag/special. One of the nicest firearms I own.

Depends on how much money you want to put into it....I'm thinking a good gunsmith/shop could re chamber a savage 99 in 308 to fit the Russian....with the 6 shot rotary magazine the pointy rounds won't be an issue....might be the same with the Winchester 88....

There is a few ammo choices for the 7.62X39 lever gun. I have a couple boxes at the office I purchased by accident that are RNSP's and would fit a lever gun well even in that caliber. SO many other calibers I would want in a lever gun over that one though, good luck all the same.

A short throw lever gun or pump in 7.62x25 that would accept PPSH magazines would be nice.

No leverguns in that caliber, but CZ makes a short Mauser with a detachable mag in 7.62X39mm.

Ruger made a bolt action rifle in 7.62x39, it's also very rare.
Remington "made" (imported from Serbia and rebadged) the model 799, a bolt action 7.62x39. http://www.remington.com/products/ar...model-799.aspx
Remington made licensed copies of Mosin-Nagants in 7.62x54R for the Czar about a century ago, how did that work out?

Ruger makes a bolt gun in 7.62x39, that or a Ruger Mini 30 are non evil looking options.

Just get the rimmed version of the 7.62x39. It's called 30-30.
