Can someone tell me what that plastic dish is for? Got one with my 9000S and could never figure out the purpose. Makes the case hard to close, doesn't serve a cleaning or reloading function, has no handle so it isn't for coffee and no one would waste good bourbon drinking from plastic....

I could be totally wrong but I always assumed it was for a couple extra rounds to carry around in the case.

I believe it's to keep the box/case from getting pushed in or crushed in on itself and the contents from moving around. I will e-mail Beretta and ask so we have the official word.
