Sweet! Those ivory grips really set it off too.

keeps getting better and better! I've been meaning to try a short trigger in one of mine... always liked how it looks but have no idea how it'll feel

I used to prefer a long trigger with thin grips.
I tried a friend's Baer with a short trigger & standard grips,....love it!

I can't get used to the short trigger. I have a short C and S trigger in my CCG Talo. Long triggers in my other 1911s. The short triggered 1911 I constantly shoot to the left if I don't reposition my finger tip. But, I have long fingers. I had a Harrison short on my Baer and same thing. Just thought I would try the short trigger again. Got a medium on the way. For me, the shorts come to almost the second joint on my index finger. The long sits just past the first joint. I think I have a straighter trigger squeeze with the long trigger.
I love the lines on that pistol. Looks incredibly similar to my CCG.

All three are what Colt now call Lightweight Commander. To me all aluminum frame are Commander. Steel frame are Combat Commander. Somewhere it all changed were today steel frame are called Commander and the aluminum frame are called Lightweight Commander.
The first 38 Super "Commander" is stainless steel slide on mat sliver frame with ambidextrous safety.
The second is a 38 Super "Commander" with mat black slide that has a big dot night sight. The frame is mat silver that needs a ambidextrous safety. (I already bought one and will install) The grips have flat checkering. This pistol is new Talo that now available.
I carry a 45 "Commander" type pistol for about 10 month a year. It mostly is a Kimber Super pro Carry two tone but I have others that will fit the same gun belts.
I didn't get the 38 Super to carry but to have. What ammo do you use should I decide to carry a 38 Super?

I presume that the first CDR is used? Colt hadn't listed it for three years now. As for the Talo, I picked up two late last year.
For defensive ammo I use Buffalo Bore 115-gr JHP.

Yes the first one is used. Things sometimes just happen. When I was searching GB for 38 Supers I found a 45 Commander also used just like the 38 Super so I bid on it and won.
Added Buffalo Bore web site to my favorite search.
