Ill be back in a day or two and buy more.

Don't know how they have it but they have the hook up. ARs, AKs, tons of every type of ammo, mags, NFA class 3 etc..

You could buy 1,000 rounds of 7.62x39 for a little under 300 I saw.

I love Larry's pistol and pawn! I used to go in there all the time when I lived in north AL. I don't get down there much anymore, though. They always treated me right.

Got out and shot it again today. Put 90 rounds of Federal XM193 through it.

No jams, no FTF, even under very rapid fire. (Got the barrell Smokin'!)

I'm very happy with every thing about the MMR.

I recommend it for anyone who can find one for under 1k!

Very nice! You said you were shooting 50 grain ammo that first time. What is the twist rate of that barrel?

And hey, if it works, it works, and that's all there is to it. From what I could see everything looks properly staked too.

1/9 twist. I have used Federal XM193 the last two times I went shooting.

I have 5 AR's. One S&W Tactical, a Daniel Defense and 3 I built the way I wanted them. I got the S&W first. It was one of the VERY first ones they made. It is a rifle that pi**ed me to no end. Two trips back to the factory, a couple of telephone conversations with the "head" gunsmith, who talked down to me about the rifle. Finally he "done me a favor" and found and fixed what was wrong with the rifle. The barrel nut was only finger tight allowing short stroking when fired from a rest. The smith and all his helpers had no issues out of the rifle, after several rounds, however they were shooting it offhand not off a bench, allowing pressure to be against the barrel. I got a new barrel (Mossberg) and it was torqued down properly out of it. However, I still don't trust it as a "go to" rifle. Sorry to hijack the thread.

One weird thing about the replacement barrel...it has no caliber or twist rate markings at all on it. The smith said the barrel he put on it came from a run of AR's they were doing for Las Vegas SWAT at the time.

I'm very glad to find this thread as I just scored an MMR a couple of days ago. A local gun shop received a case of them and I managed to buy the last at a reasonable price. I have read a number of reviews but am more interested in a real shooters experience versus a paid critic. Haven't fired mine yet but am planning to next weekend. I've only been able to score 100 rounds, more than enough to site it in and get comfortable. Like that site for future consideration.

I also bought one in December before the craze happened for $800. The free float barrel makes this a very accurate shooter, I have put over 300 rounds without one hiccup. The full quadrail it comes with is really nice for accessories. I love this rifle, Ive replaced the sights with Magpul flip ups that work with my Reddot and just ordered a Magpul CTR buttstock. You're always gonna have the "Internet Commandos" who have the ultimate rifle with all the expensive bells and whistles -like some crazy invasion is about to happen, and they will save everybody because all their weapons wont fail and everyone with a cheaper model will perish. Lol. I did my time with a few weapons in "The Sandbox" and they were basic model weapons that served us just fine. (sorta like the mentality of my 5' tall neighbor with the huge new shiny Hummer) Guess what? An LEO friend turned me on to this rifle because his Dept. ordered a bunch of MMR's and the rifles have earned the respect of the SWAT guys real fast after crap loads of all kinds of ammo sent down range and it performed flawlessly. This rifle is also "milspec" throughout-if it matters. Enjoy your Mossburg bro, with a few added Magpul accessories I'm totally sold for sure for the price. :DClick image for larger version

When it comes down to it I may purchase one of these rather than building one. Keep us posted on how you enjoy this gun.

Curious what you paid for the MMR? PM me please if you don't want to post the price. Like I said I'm kind of in the market for one.

950$

Before all this mess, it might have been too much, but now when they are going for between $1500-2000, it was a good deal.

And yes I did buy it after Sandy Hook.
