browing buckmark vs 22/45 lite

couple of weeks ago i went shopping for a new 22 semi auto.came down to buckmark & ruger. bought the buck. kept thinking about the ruger. sold my 22 neos & went back & bought the ruger. looked at the gold one originaly but they now had a new model. it's all black with horizontal flutes on barrel. today i shot them both. both at 25 yards will shoot 1'' groups with a red dot. what the buck shot the worst ruger shot the best, what ruger shot best buck shot the worst.22 sure are funny. trigger on buck 4 pounds, ruger 5 1/2. worst thing about ruger is mags don't drop out very well. if i get a volqoatsen bushing & put it in will it help with mags removal & help slide release button,it's stiff.

I have a BAM bushing in one of my MkIII along with Volquerson internals. Aftermarket parts made big differance. Wife has a 22/45 Lite I'm going to swap the parts in soon.

I'd go with the Buck Mark or a standard Merk series pistol.

That Lite model is ugly as hell.

Yeah, the MKII bushing will help.

Browning Buckmark Lite is the way to go. I had the Ruger 22/45 Lite and had too many jamming FTF problems. Get the Buckmark Lite, Flip the trigger spring around and your done. Great Gun.

Check out this thread I posted earlier. The part you need to remove the magazine safety is $9 and it's easy to do. This will make magazine insertion much easier and the mags drop free much easier as well. It's an excellent part made by a good company.

Far as I'm concerned the only good mark 3 is the hunter. I owned the 22/45 and had nothing bit problems. Buck marks shoot perfect right out the box and are awesome. Barrels swap without having to go through ffl and that gives you lots of options on one gun frame. Price on used buckmarks is comparable to the mark iis, and you get the most bang for your buck. Accuracy I tend to go for the buckmark too. Own 6 22 pistols right now and sold the LITE for a mark 3 hunter. That gun will shoot with my Buck mark hunter all day...but not outshoot it. Just my .22 cents.

The new one looks a lot better (just went to the ruger site after seeing this thread). My brother has the first iteration of the lite with the gold finish. Looks better in person.

Either way, you can't argue with the features. It's a neat gun.
