Ammo status
Anyone have any luck with finding more ammo on the shelves? I was reading in a different area where some people are finding more ammo back on the shelves, but none of them were in Florida. I was just wondering if we are seeing an increase, too.
As for me, the shelves around here are still empty.

Both Wal-Marts in my local area (Jupiter and Stuart) have been totally wiped out every time I've been there. Only a few boxes of .22, some shotgun shells, and a couple boxes of rifle ammo. And a sign stating a "3 box limit" per person

Trekgod3, what size boxes of .22 and at what price are you seeing? There are NO .22s on the shelves at the Walmarts up here (not that I've seen, anyway).

This is off topic but I find it funny that the on-line sources I am seeing are selling 1000 rounds of 45 cheaper than 9mm.

When I was in Bass Pro in Myrtle Beach last week the shelves of pistol ammo were bare, just a sticker for each missing box that said "on order". I was looking for 9mm for target shooting, no luck.

Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the type of ammo. I believe some of it might have been .17 caliber, too.
I went to Gander in PBG and they have TONS of 9mm, .40 and .45ACP......HOWEVER the lowest price for any of it was $29.99 for a 50 round box. At those prices, I'll pass. Everything ranged from $30 to $50 for a 50 round box.

I see plenty of shot gun shells but that's about it. I haven't seen any 40s&w in about 3 weeks.

I've had zero problem getting ammo on-line, especially 10mm.

I just ordered umc value pack 9mm for $79.99 today. Ordered 45auto yesterday umc value pack for $109. Both 250 count boxes from Cabelas. Supposed to receive on 2/27 and 2/28. I'm happy. Now just need to find some 22lr.

It has all but dried up for now. Our government has a really big stock pile so I hear.

I went to Alachua Farm & Lumber and found a good supply of ammo in stock. Prices were fairly reasonable for the times, too. Paid $17/box of 9mm 50ct target rounds. Picked up a box of .25 for a friend at $23/box of 50. (Glad I don't own a .25. Too expensive for a crappy little round.)

LGS have better supply here but prices are higher than Walmart of course. Some dealers are instituting a limit/customer.

LGS by me is selling 9mm.fmj for $38.99 a box of 50. I bought a box of 45auto for $27.99. Gave the 9 mm a pass. Got a good laugh out of it. Done buying from them.

I remember buying the UMC 250 round 9mm for $49.99 at Walmart not too long ago. I think the .40 was $69.99. I guess those were the good ol' days

Also lots of .22LR in the 525 packs and a few palates of 5.56

Visited a local Walmart Supercenter (Tampa area) just after midnight - when the stocking of sporting goods was already completed.
No ammo to speak of except some 410 Winchester PDX, some 12 ga "hi-speed" shot loads (not buck or slug), and a few boxes of an offbeat sporting rifle caliber. ALL the other ammo tags had stickers labeled "W/O". I asked an associate and he told me that meant "warehouse out".

Was just at cabelas today. They had everything BUT 22. Nothing in bulk like 4 months ago but plenty of every thing else at reasonable prices.

Just scored two 50 round boxes of .40 at Wal-Mart. One box is FMJ, the other JHP. Came out to $42 including tax.
