Hey guys, I scored one of the Chris Kyle memorial rail covers from CGR. At this point, none of my EBR's have a rail setup, and I'm not sure I want to go full boat on one. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to add a rail segment to my CR6724. The tube handguards are freefloating, and I've never had them off. I'm just looking for something small enough to mount this, specs say it's about 2-3/4" long.

I'm sure it would require drilling holes in the forearm.
Do you have an AR with a standard carbine or midlength gas system and plastic handguards? If so, you could swap that to a MOE handguard and add a rail section to that very easily.
