I don't read the post but "Bloodbath" certainly fits the term of sensationalism.
54 of the approximate 740 journalists is just a 7% trimming of the work force. Sounds like an annual cost/benefit analysis of staff...
The article also mentions the New York Times offered buyout packages to 30 people and didn't get the number they wanted; I wonder if these idiots realize 1) buy out packages are voluntary and 2) they would get let go any way
And good god...look at the qualifications of some of the people let go.
"Jacobs’ LinkedIn profile describes her as a “senior-level executive with over 20 years experience in the in marketing, business development, product management and operations in the digital media and mobile sectors.” Before WaPo, she was VP of Mobile Business Development at AOL. She earned degrees from Bucknell and NYU Business School. She has been employed at WaPo for two and a half years"
"Dodelin, meanwhile, is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University. Like Jacobs, he previously worked in Mobile Business Development at AOL. He earned three degrees — a JD and MBA from from the University of North Carolina and a B.S. in psychology from the College of William & Mary. He has worked at WaPo for nearly two years."
Seriously, am I to believe people with these qualifications are going to be in some food line or on unemployment for 99+ weeks...

When normal people lose their jobs that's a statistic. When Leftists lose theirs that's a bloodbath.

Small but important statements like this go unnoticed by the masses. The bias is so great, yet seldom seen or recognized by the average low-information voter.

I guess there's not as much profit in printing political propaganda as you might think.

Looks like a lot of non-leftists are letting their feelings be known with their checkbooks...

Absolutely. Why pay good money to be propagandized and have your intelligence insulted when you can turn on your television and do it free?
