There are only two big companies bringing in 7.62x39, PB Dionisio and Twin Pines. Twin Pines buys all PRVI 7.62 from PB Dionisio so they can keep on selling us their outrageously priced "tactical edge" brand.

Makes me super regret not buying as much as I could when PB last had some PRVI 7.62 a few years ago, P31 each lang noon!

Twin Pines is being greedy. For all my future gun needs, if I can get it from another company, I'll avoid twin pines.

DASIA security agency does have some PRVI 7.62x39 dito sa mindanao. don't know where they got it from.

Man I remember the good old days when China didn't even have most favored nation trading status. I can't recall though was Chinese 7.62x39 banned from importation?

Although I've purchased multiple firearms from Twin Pines I have to admit that their markups on firearm prices is no longer a laughing matter plus the allegation that they bought up the PRVI supply just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll try other gun stores for my future purchases.

I think it was. A lot of it was steel jacket or steel core ammo. I can remember getting a magnet to stick on both the case and bullet. And all for less than 3 or 4 bucks a box.

Surplus 7.62x39 is in abundance elsewhere. I can choose between corrosive and non-corrosive primed; China, Russia, Czech. Used to be $199.00 for 1,440 rounds of corrosive Czech ammo. Now, it's about $260.00.

IMO, the reason why there is such an abundance of the 7.62x39 ammo is that Russia and China are starting to stay away from this caliber in favor of the lighter calibers. They are cheaper and also effective.

Russia? 5.45x39 in their AK-74, which ammo is also available in the States at really low prices. China? Their indigenous 5.8x42DBP, in their QBZ-97 bullpup.

With our proximity to China, the dearth of 7.62x39 is simply inexcusable. Would it have made better business sense for Twin Pines to import, er, truckloads of Chinese 7.62x39, that way their Chinese AKs and Czech VZ2000s will sell much faster?
