Finished up my latest frankenLeek just now. It's an S30V blade, titanium lockside, black G10 front handle, and lightly acid/stonewashed pocket clip and all hardware.

Let me know how that Bos treated zaan blade works out. I quit carrying mine because the steel sucks so bad.

The card I got back with it said it went from 57.8 to 60.1, so I'm anticipating a big improvement. I just couldn't stand a $400 S35VN blade dulling and rolling worse than cheap CRKT AUS8. It was get it hardened up or sell it, so I really hope this makes it into the knife it should be.

You literally just convinced me to not buy anymore CRK stuff! That's so low I'd send it for warranty!

Used or I should say previously owned. The sheath shows some age, VERY little use. Blade never touched.

That's about standard for them from what I've seen. I have no idea why they run it that soft, but it kind of sucks. I probably won't buy any more myself.

Esee makes some great blades! Check out the candiru as well.

If you want a cheaper fixed blade alternative--- look at Becker knife and tool. Great blades and a great value.

And another Leek for my wife, got a nice Santa Fe Stoneworks mother of pearl/abalone Leek, had an extra damascus laying around, and a few very difficult minutes later ended up with this:

Gorgeous!

I have one on hold with my name on it at a dealer out of state. My hesitance is that this dealer is asking full MSRP. My LKS doesn't have any 777s yet, but he would likely only charge $480. Decisions, decisions.

Any one have any knoledge of the Schrade Golden Spike?

I have always liked the looks untill I get one in my hand... the simulated stag is bothersome...

I see the new ones at pretty cheap prices, are they crap? What about the only ones... are they worth the 50-75$ price tags?

One of the Busses is in, and I'm very impressed. Going to give it some carry time once my kydex order comes in and I can get a sheath made for it. Very cool knife.

Nice.. no coating makes it even better.

Closest I've gotten is a Swamprat Rodent 4. I'm interested in the INFI steel just haven't come across the right knife yet.

I've got another Busse and a Swamp Rat on order, both coated. I'll see what I think of 'em when they arrive.
