Prince, Purple Rain comes to mind. I think it would look cool if that is what the Mrs. wants.

That Hello Kitty! Glock is rather tastefully done. I wonder if they've done a Hello Pony version for the bronies.

That other thing looks like a cheap toy.

Try STG firearms in Phoenix, they have alot of different color glocks on Gunbroker. They are really good guys to deal with, I bought my Dan Wesson from them.

Thanks everyone for the tips and suggestions. It's not something we're going to move on right now, but maybe in the future, and you've given me some options. My thought is I'd hate to do it because of resale value but I've only ever sold one gun (not a glock) and if it's what she wants, I can certainly understand that because she doesn't give me a hard time about things that I "have to have." Thanks again for your input.

My 6 year old girl told me this weekend she wants a pink gun when she turns 10.

If you dye the frame, you can always dye it black if you want to sell it.

This is a cool finish, carbon fiber.

http://www.glockstore.com/glock-cust...-custom-finish

AND it will pass through a metal detector.

Does it have to be a pistol? You could get an AK with plum furniture.

They have a "revolutionary dipping process". Every time I see that reference to a process, it normally means it's on par with something you see on a "Only sold on TV" infomercial.

Look up someone or some firm that does hydrodipping or go to www.mydipkit.com they sell kits that are simple to use at home - IF you follow the instructions and there are instructions aplenty in/on YouTube...I'm impressed!!! Check it out...short of getting a custom Glock in a purple polymer, this is your best, cheapest bet - and the stuff is rugged!!! It LASTS!!!

That Carbon Fiber Finish is the result of a Hydrodipping process...just Google that 'Hydrodipping' and look at some of the outfits offerring the service _ i;m lookin' at doin' mine in mebbe a Confederate flag motif (just to piss off the left/anti-gun/anti-American crowd) on the frame and skulls on the slide.

CB in FL...The w*fe likes the purple camo pattern

No substitute for taste. A simple black pistol is suitable for any occasion.

I wonder if the polymer structure is weakened by the color injection?

Hydro dipping is a paint, a coating which adheres to the surface of the part it in no way penetrates the surface to cause any structural changes.Go here:

http://www.hydro-dip.com/

or here:

Not sure if its going to work all that great when the base color is black. But you can try. Make sure you post some pics when you're done!
When you're done, put a Twilight Sparkle sticker on the grip.
