Got me a new Lumix!

So, I finally decided to retire my old Canon SX1 and got myself a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200... Here are my impressions after a few hours of playing with it.

The good:
- Finally, usable video recording without the sickening "jello" (rolling shutter).
- 1080p60 AVCHD recording - wow! The SX1 only did 1080p30 (and it was actually 30, not the standard broadcast 29.97).
- Long 24x zoom.
- F/2.8 aperture across the entire zoom range - very unique for a "point-and-shoot" camera! The SX1 dims all the way to F/5.7 as you zoom in.
- It's quick. Quick startup, very low delay viewfinder, low shutter delay, fast flash recharge.
- Very good auto focus. FZ200 will focus quickly and reliably. If it cannot focus at the current zoom, it will tell you quickly. SX1 in the same situation would move the lens back and forth, leave it in a totally unfocused position and call it a day.
- Comfortable grip and controls.
- Bright and sharp viewfinder.
- Supports 64GB memory cards (SX1 maxes out at 16).

And the annoyances:
- Does not automatically start a new folder every day like SX1 did.
- The viewfinder is a bit too flimsy and somewhat hard to open.
- Still pictures are not much improved, still pretty grainy at lower light levels. But it's probably all you can expect from a small 1/2.3" CMOS sensor.
- The memory card slot is on the bottom, in the battery compartment - which makes it inaccessible when the camera is mounted on a tripod.

It's amazing how short the depth of field gets when you open up the iris! Say goodbye to flat dull photos where everything is in focus all the way to the horizon.
