I like the P2000 LEM. You really can't go wrong with either one.

Another vote for the P30 from me! Mine has all but replaced my G19.

Took a little time to get used to the DA/SA trigger but I've gotten really good with it!

Very few guns I would buy with fondling it first.

P30 is one of them.

Thanks for the feedback. My local range has a p30 as a range gun so I think I am going to shoot it side by side with my Glock 19 so I can compare them and make sure it's worth the extra investment for me. I did hold one at the a local gun store and it sure felt nice.

+1 for the p30. I have a v3, and while I am getting used to the da trigger, the sa is excellent. The pistol also feels awesome in the hand. My other 9mm is a g17,which I love as well, bit the p30 is soooo much nicer. It I my first h&k, but not my last!

Good luck
Mo

Rather subjective,.......the capacity and grip of the P30 wins me over.
The P7 series is a great carry, but is not the holy grail of CCW

I've read that there have been issues with the P30L in 9mm. Some underpowered 9mm ammo doesn't cycle the slide with enough power. More of an ammo issue than a gun issue. Either way, sounds like a very familiar problem.......(glock).

I would get either the USP/c V1 (which I have in .40), or the newer P30s. I don't like the LEM trigger or the DA part of the SA/DA trigger, so I would get one with a thumb safety so it can be used in Condition 1.

My Dad has the P30 and I shoot with him all the time and there is no better ergonomic pistol out there. I own a 2000sk and wouldn't trade him for it. I am extremely accurate with it and I've never had any problem. I like it better than the P30 for conceal carry. Both are accurate, reliable and soft shooting so you can't go wrong with either.

P30. See if you can try DA/SA and LEM and buy what you prefer

H&K techs will request you to put 200 rounds of NATO or 147gr through it to break in the recoil spring assembly. H&K maintenance procedures then call for its replacement at 25,000 rounds.

DA/SA USP full size is my favorite. It has a better trigger comparing to my other 9mm HKs.

My dream gun is the USP Elite...if I can track it down.
