Proper aiming with Glock Sights

I am having trouble with my vertical alignment shooting my new glock. Everything is low and I was wondering how the glock is sighted. Should I be aiming from image 1, 2 or 3 in attached diagram. Thanks for the help!

Sight picture 2.

But there will be slight variation based on distance from target and caliber. But mine all generally shoot to point of aim.

And if your glock has three dots, the sights must be aftermarket (or maybe glock night sights). My factory sights were all dot and bracket.

Regardless, ignore the dots. Top of sight is what you want to align.

My sights are factory, this was the only graphic I found to represent my question. It is 9mm and mosly at 25 feet at an indoor range.

I run'em like this, "meatball" (carrier landing system) style.

Thank you and this depicts the sights on my Glock. Will be at the range tomorrow and modify my aiming.

If your Glock shoots to point of aim with that alignment then you've got other problems.

They all shoot about where the pics show.

Glocks are combat pistols. Not only is this hold fast because there are a lot of big visual ques to key on, but also it puts the bullet strike ABOVE the front sight, where you can see the target, about like a 6:00 bullseye hold.

A little dry-fire practice to learn the hold and a little shooting to learn the proper target exposure.

Very fast and accurate.

I can regularly shoot 2-3" five-second/five-shot bullseye groups, starting from a low ready, at 15 yards.

Hey, if it works... success is it's own right answer.
