Picked up my first Spydie, Manix 2 with G10 scales and the S30V blade. I have to say, I'm really impressed. I can see a few more making it into my collection soon!

The Spyderco stretch has replaced my Endura/Delica's for EDC. It is super nice.

And another of Wayne Clark's Destiny manuals. Some of this series are labeled as Auto-Tech and some are just labeled WR Clark with his dogbone logo.

The Southard is a great knife, no question. Wish I still had mine.

Agreed!

I hear you. I am absolutely blown away by this thing. Perfect size, shape, and awesome blade steel.

About the only thing I wasn't real crazy about was the brown scale color. While it was starting to grow on me a little, I wished it was black...

And now it is!

Actually the crappy indoor lighting pic doesn't do it justice. The Rit turned it a nice, glimmery shade of black that looks a little like carbon fiber. It still has the great grip though.

I think I finally found the end of the knife rainbow for me!

If it didn't have the huge, ugly, completely unnecessary Spyderhole I'd have already gotten another.

Actually the hole makes an excellent "flicker" giving a more robust opening than the flipper. Pretty fond of mine which was pimped by Alex Deitz.

Just added a Sebbie 25 to see what they are like.

Two directions. Like tonight, I am a volunteer bartender at a wine and cheese party. Don't you just hate it when you go to a party and someone expects you cut things with a plastic knife? Huh! Thank you Kershawguy with your seconds! Picked up a couple. And, bought a cheap cheese knife off ebay. Hint - not everything is a safe queen.

The other effort is in sharpening. Mastered the spyderco system and a German circular axe stone system. Took a deep breath and bought a harbor freight vertical 1x30 belt sander. Started with the rattiest, rustiest (new word in the English language) machete and experimented with different grits. By last night, I had it figured out (thank you youtube and all the guys who took the time to make videos - some unsafe, some guys not knowing what they were doing at all, of course). I then tackled the cheap Walmart serrated blades that are the every day kitchen table eating knives. Outstanding results with low grit count. You watch some guys work without gloves or eye protection, spark arresters, the metal backing and turning the machine on its side! Then again, you watch great guys not pressing hard, explaining why sometimes they go with the blade and sometimes against and how to do a convex result.

The problem now is locating the equivalent of the former, more expensive USPS filament tape so I can make my own belts. The commercial belts are made with heat, glue and tape, not just tape. And in watching the videos, only the disontinued USPS filament tape seems to work.

Wasn't expecting to ever see one uninflated, but I got a black bladed ZT0600 off of BF. Awesome knife, and BIG.

Just picked up 2 Benchmade Mini Griptilians.

Both have S30V Doug Ritter Blades. (Which by the way, if none of you guys have ever had a Ritter Mini-Grip...its basically my idea of the PERFECT EDC Knife, such an amazing blade upgrade over the standard 154CM Benchmade blade)

Orange for me!

Pink for the wife!

Another favorite bought this year is the Spyderco Caly 3 in carbon fiber and Damascus steel. It's the only knife I've bought two of... one for me (and my pocket) and another safe queen that I'll likely gift to my son when he's older.
