LONGSLIDE 1911 pics and opinions thread?

Does anyone own one? I'm thinking of getting, as probably my last 1911, a Les Baer P2 6" 45 but I know there are many others out there.

As a way of spicing up the forum...

Anyone have pics?

Or opinions?

Have seen a few Fusions, but that is about it. No experience shooting them. Get a Baer, then send it to Alchemy for a fluff & buff.

I understand the reason for the target sight on the long slide,.....but I truly hate them.

I'd like to know if they provide an appreciable benefit compared to the 5" guns. I love the concept, but haven't shot one. I have shot compensated .45's that were the standard during the earlier days of IPSC/USPSA. I liked those a lot.

I had a Colt 1991 w/ Clark Custom mods. I sold it, like an idiot. One of the mods was a comped barrel. It was a dream to shoot.

I want the 6" for FBA looks alone.

Probably going with combat rear/ FO front sights, HC frame and small parts, blue or AT slide (whether I go with a Wilson or Baer)...
