I've decided to leave my dead end job(comm. hvac) and do the thing I've wanted to do since I was a freshman in middle school, join the armed forces! I feel as if I have wasted away a good part of my life,and doing nothing worth a damn. I have just said "good-bye" to my best friend, he is going over seas to do mail runs.
I am 21 years old, and I have done some preliminary paper work for my recruiter. I have also started preparing for the PT part of BASIC. Any help with this is also greatly appreciated!
Any ways, I am interested and also have skills in computers, electronics, weaponry, mechanics and shooting. I respect those who sit behind a desk and do their military duty, but I feel it isn't for me. I want action!
Reserve or no?
My friend was a 13Bravo, tank crewman I think. I like the idea, but don't like being confined. Maybe something along the lines of infantry, or maybe something close. Aargh, I have so many ideas running through my head!
