How often do you carry your sub?

How many of you carry your sub virtually everywhere- In other words it can be seen as part of your dress code- wake up in morning and put on clothes incl sub and only take it off when you go to bed. Hell, I even sleep with it next to me- certain things become important in ones life;f
Seriously though- does anyone carry to such an extent that your sub determines where you can and cannot go? (ie in SA you cannot go into a bank armed)- or so they say

I carry my G36 EVERYDAY and EVERYWHERE I go. I do take it off to go into the bank but everywhere else I go it accompanies me.

Everyday! I carry my Glock 26 wherever I can (the exception being where it is illegal to do so. It is my primary carry gun. I try to avoid businesses that post signs that make it illegal to carry there (but that is more of a decision that they don't need my money if they put up such a sign). If I must go into a place where it is illegal for me to carry, then I remove the gun. But the rest of the time, I have it with me.

There are sometimes I don't carry my G26. It's usually because I'm carrying my G19.

Of course, I always carry within the law...

I gather you guys cannot carry when going into a bank for example. Do these institutions provide a safe/ storage area where you can legally store your gun while you are in the building? In SA there are places you cannot carry but no infrastructure has been put in place to accomodate a person who legally carries a gun ie. a vault inside the building where you can leave your gun legitimately.

Not very often!

Laws vary from state from state. I live in Texas, where there are a few places that you cannot legally carry, period. But in most places in Texas, under the current laws, it is only illegal if that place posts a sign stating that it is illegal to carry your gun there. Not just any sign will do. The sign must meet some very specific criteria, all of which is listed in Section 30.06 of the Texas Penal Code, in order to be legally binding (we commonly refer to such a sign as a "30.06 sign"). You can see signs on some businesses saying things like "No Guns Allowed" or "No Firearms", but none of these signs have any legal relevance for someone with a permit to carry a concealed handgun (which in Texas, is called a "Concealed Handgun License", or CHL --- the actual name of the permit can vary from state to state).

In addition, if you actually must go into a place where it would be illegal to carry, Texas law only makes it illegal for a CHL-holder to carry a concealed handgun on the premises. Another section of the law defines premises (for the purposes of the handgun laws) to mean an actual building, and NOT the parking lot, sidewalk, walkways, etc.). Thus it is perfectly legal to leave your gun in your vehicle. That is what I do when I have to go into a place that I cannot legally carry a gun into.

G30 when I can, S&W 340sc when I can't carry the G30, which was frequent enought to justify buying the j-frame.

Carry my 27 all the time. Absa Bank in Stellenbosch do not make a fuss over legal carry inside the bank. Must agree with Guru from Joburg. If they don't allow firearms I don't go there either ie. casino's, clubs, operating theaters, ballet, the opera... Or at least that is what I tell my girlfriend.

We must actually meet for a shoot at the Stellenbosch club. I go there often, apart from Parow-indoor, Durbanville and Somerset-West clubs.

Contact me on Yebo 8741 324.
Cheers

My G33 goes with me everywhere! I rarely go to places that prohibit carry. Just like American Express....never leave home without it.

My G27 comes along every single time that I walk out the door, even if only to take the trash out or check the mail box. The only time it stays home is when I am carrying a different pistol.

My G26 sticks to my side all week-end long & most days in the week. I carry it to work, but because I work in a corporate company, have to lock it up in a safe.

I even have it on my side when going into the banks.... A Nedbank Security stopped me, as the metal detector scanner went off, but upon presentation of my Gun License & ID document, to match the ID numbers to my picture, he let me go into the bank armed.

Go figure..... First National Bank does not even have metal detectors..

I tried to walk into Nedbank and the guard stopped me and scanned me. When his scanner beeped over my hip he asked me if I was carrying- I said yes and he then just let me in. I am not quite sure if these chaps actually know the reason for standing at the entrance to the bank- or maybe they have only been told to get excited when someone walks in with an AK47;f

I really dont mind handing my gun over for safe keeping when I want to enter a resturant or other place of entertainment, but what pisses me off is not many places have secured lockable facilities, but they expect you to trust then....Me..personally I dont trust anyone with my plastic 26

Ever since I got my G27 recently, it has seldom left my hip. Airports and schools are about the only places that I don't carry.
