G36 to go with my M&P's! First Glock!

So I have a 9 Shield, 9c, full size 9 & 40 & M&P 22. All have been flawless. I was looking for a M&P 45 last week, but hardly any M&P's on the shelves here in Greenville SC, so the sales guy showed me a 36. Very flat like my Shield, and therefore easy to conceal so I came over here to check them out. After all the favorable comments, I decided to pick it up, haven't shot it yet, but hope to tomorrow. If its as good as you guys say it is,I'll be happy to have gone over to the dark side! It's not much bigger than the shield so should be great for carry. Looking forward to the range this week to wring it out. By the way, I tried to go yesterday, but there was a 1 1/2 hour wait. The gun business is crazy here in SC.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the G36 club. I have enjoyed mine a lot. Carrys nice and the .45 gives me piece of mind. Just remember as with all smaller lighter guns, to hang on tight.

Welcome Mauldintiger. The perfect carry handgun has yet to be devised, but the G36 is the best we have found so far. We think you will be happy with yours. Shoot safely, and let us know what you think once you have some rounds down range.

We trudge on.

it is an awesome gun. for around the house while working from home I just use the cheap old Glock Holster. Very nice. Try one. For the price, you will be amazed at how well it works.

When not carrying the M1911, I take along the little G36. Great gun IMO. I got about 1600 flawless rounds through it and mostly all reloads with various types of JHP's and ball.

Never a problem, and very accurate.

Enjoy yours.

I acquired my G36 a few days ago. I will be shooting it for the first time tomorrow.
I am pumped. Love the gun so far. I have small hands and it fits me perfectly.

I have ordered:
1. Frame insert.
2. Pearce +0 Extensions. (Only plan to use if it pinches me stock)
3. Talon Grips - Rubber

I may eventually buy night sites, but Glock stock sites are actually quite accurate.

Excellent choice. My two favorite Glocks are Gen 3 model 19 and model 36.
Love those M&Ps too! Especially the Shield.

An often overlooked gem. Went to a show about four years ago looking at the G30, but walked out with a very slightly used G36 for $410. That and my G39 have become my main CCW's. And always in the Glock Sport/Combat Holster. Cheers.

Are there 7-round mags for the 36? If so, are they factory or after market?

Man, I may be wrong, but I do not think there are any OEM 7rder's, You would have to AM, if that is even availabe. Just saying I have not seen any !

As much as I am sold on my big bore hog legs, and M1911's, I tell ya amigo, you'll really like the little G36. Excellent work from Glock. I shoot my 230gr XTP hand loads out of it at 900+ fps. Can't beat that out of a little 3.78" tube.

6 in the mag, 1 in the tube.
If you find a 7 rd OEM let me know where....

Stay safe !

Have not seen any. BUT you can add the pearce +1 for 7 plus 1 in the tube for eight. It makes it a little tall. I use mine as the carry mag and use the stock in the gun for carry.
