Great! Hope to see you at Creedmoor, NC in November. Practice controlled pairs at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 yards and you will do OK.

If you can, get some practice on actual NRA D-1 targets. I wish I had and I'm still wishing ! :-) I'm looking forward to Conyers !

Good advice. I feel I have improved by doing just that. Fortunately for me, my range carries them, and has something called a "target account" for members. I gave them $50.00, and get these targets for 50 cents EACH. I do my 7 - 10 yard stuff with targets I made, but use the D1 targets for further out distances.... I usually use at least 5 per session.

The center rings are difficult (if not impossible) to see at 25 yards, so "learning" the center by just looking at the target outline is necessary.

Cool range to let you do that. I just started shooting, so at the Morganton match (my 1st GSSF) I had too many "Mikes" at 25 yards. I'm hoping my trigger control is better at Conyers, I know it will be at Creedmoor. :-)

and those darn plates... I'm gonna knock them down this time !!

My buddy mailed in his membership form and certificate request over 6 weeks ago and hasn't received anything yet. Emailed GSSF last week... still no word.

I thought they were getting caught up on the backlog ?

re 25 yard mikes

did you know that your front sight is the exact same distance from your eye when shooting at 25 as it is at 7 yds?

Are there any MA residents out there who belong to GSSF, and are there any matches held in the New England area?

I contacted GSSF and was informed that all apps from my era had been processed. I have sent a new application and look forward to becoming a member.

They are great to deal with and work hard to get the job done.
