here is my latest. friggen sharp!!!

i am having a love fest with my Mora, so in the spirit of finding a scandi blade with more panache, i opted for this Helle Temagami Carbon. holy schit.so sharp!!

cant wait to use it on my next game animal. on backpack trips, you cannot beat a Mora Companion..110 grams! my Helle is 215grams..so still light.

Cool knife! Are the Helles worth it over the mora? They seem so similar. What steel do they use?

I used a carbon mora to cut off a hogs head a few weeks ago. I was surprised at how well it did.

In all honesty, no. Probably not. A mora kicks ass. I got the helle because I wanted something thicker. I bet the heavy duty mora companion would have fit the bill for $15. Haha.

I butchered a deer with a mora. It was profound how well it worked. I pushed the blade down the rib cage. Just unzipped it to the neck.
This Helle I suspect will do just as well. If I had to guess, i think the Helle I honed to a sharper edge. It feels like a straight razor.

Crazy how good a cheap throwaway knife can be. Hog bow hunt here opens nov22. Can't wait for the chance to open ups hog with the helle.

Well I'm 0/3 on the last three I bought. This one is way too thick at the tip to cut anything and since that's what I use knives for it's a little disappointing. I may just have to send this one back.

I'd say its around 90 degrees inclusive and 1/8" thick at the tip

zero for THREE!!!! egads!!

that blows!!! i am quite astonished that the Bark River wasnt up to the hype. that was on my short list.reading online reviews, i would imagine pixie dust floating out of anything i cut, and the smell of fresh cut daisies permeating everything. people love those knives!!

The BRK blade was good, handle was trash.

This knife is beautiful and the wood to metal fit is perfect, it is just way too thick toward the tip.

Sliver Lining, I am sending this knife back to the maker and he is going to grind it to my liking. He is extremely good to deal with and says he's not happy until I'm happy.
