Honestly that does not sound healthy. Bigger & better things in life than firearms.
I do admit not having to work and just spending time waiting to buy guns would be a interesting lifestyle.

Agree with first paragraph though I confess to being almost like the OP back in 2009.
Disagree with second. If I didn't have to work, I'd have better things to do. Guns are not the focus of my life.

I did a search because I had never heard of the SOCOM... I think you did pretty well on that one.

Was planning on using the refund on a new AR--went looking and stores were picked clean---so now I have a new 60" plasma and the AR can wait---was planning on getting both anyway.
And in the long run the TV will get a lot more use than the AR.

No doubt. Congrats on the TV, nice to see you have perspective.

Check at Cabelas if you have one near you. Our WallyWorld s haven't had any around Denver, but was in KC this week and the Cabelas there had 5 AR'S. 2 Bushes and 3 DPMS. They were priced from $1200 for one of the Bushmasters to over $2300 for the high price.

WallyWorld had Colt 6920 just put it out while I was there. $1137.
And found a source for .308, $22 per box of 20. Not great but considering I'm waiting on shipment from Cabelas that was $24.95 per, on sale, and there's no shipping, pretty good.

The gun area saleman in my local Walmart told me they had received 500 round sealed containers of Tula .223. They were selling it for $150.00.
All gone when I got there.

My Walmart has gotten about 20 ARs in the last three weeks. Mostly DPMS, but a lot of 6920s as well.

I know, it's crazy how it works! They sell rifles in stock, and then they get new ones from manufacturer.

This must be a joke, right. If you are serious just get a job or second job and hit up gunbroker.
