Any Hex Front Sight Tool Options?

Are there any cheaper options than buying the standard front sight removal tool? Maybe something in the garage or my toolbox that I've overlooked that can do the same thing?

I made my own. $6 for a bit kit at Home Depot with a "thin" 3/16" bit driver included. Then, 10 minutes at home with a Dremel to grind the face flat and turn the outside diameter down a little. It worked like a charm! Now I have 25 "free" hex bits and a tool that should hold up better than most of the specialized tools being sold (I hear many of them strip themselves out after not too much use).

A bunch of people purchased this Wiha 3/16 x 60mm hex nut driver (see link below). It appears that a rash of new orders have placed it on back order. It's out of stock at Amazon.com too. If you can find another source, it works extremely well and is priced right. Do a Google search for Wiha 26576.

Thanks guys for your replies. I'm headed down to Harbor Freight in the morning to look at a "16 Piece Precision Screwdriver Kit". It is part #4143 and contains a 5mm hex nut driver. It is a few bucks and some change. I'll report back tomorrow.

Picked up the #4143 kit @ Harbor Freight this morning. The 5 mm nut driver tool works great for removing the front sight hex. It's a keeper!

Allen Wrench or Hex Key.
.05 or fifty thousandths.
Or 1/20th a inch.
No Metric size available.
The Glock tool is exactly the same 6 sided tool.
