I gotta get me onna these!!!
At the range today I met a guy who had one of the new Ruger 10 shot single action revolvers. SS Cowboy style with about a 4 1/2 or 5" barrel. He was gracious enough run 10 rounds of my own ammo through it. He'll never know how close he came to not getting it back.
Just like all Ruger handguns, revolvers and semi autos alike it is a very well weighted and balanced fire arm and a heck of a lot of fun to shoot.
My wish list already had a couple of Rugers on it, the SR1911 and the SR22 and now I gotta put this one on as well.
I love all my Rugers but lovin' guns is like lovin' kids or dogs. Always enough love to go around, the more the merrier.

It's alot easier to love my guns than kids. I can always trade away/sell guns I'm not so fond of, anymore. Those ruger SAA's are sweet, I really like the 357/9mm convertables they have, with a 4" barrel. Super sexy, and moon clips.

I'm pretty sure I read that the 9mm cylinder is loaded with 9x19, and moon clips. I could be mistaken.

No, the single action rugers use no moon clips.
They have a cylinder that head spaces on the case mouth, just like an auto.
The ejection rod is used to punch out the empties, just like any other caliber.
(I owned a .45acp/.45 Colt convertible, and currently own a .45acp only Ruger New Vaquero. 'tis the way they all work.)
Now, a double-action revolver with a swing-out cylinder would need moon clips unless it was a S&W 547 or the new Charter Arms 9mm.
My current - polished stainless steel:

Cool, thanks for clearin that up. I've shot a 357 in 4", and it was a kitten with 38 spl's, but I've never handled the convertables.
