Any of you guys have experience with these rounds?
I got a few of these from the lgs today and had never seen them before. Each box was $15 for 20 rounds so I didn't get many. Are they any good?

They are pretty new to the market, so I haven't seen much info yet on actual performance. $15 for 20 for any higher end defense load is pretty damn reasonable under normal pricing - even better right now.

75gr is a heavy bullet. What type of barrel twist is on your rifle? Some guys suggest using a 1:7 twist to shoot a bullet that heavy.

This stuff is 70gr. Gun is a 6920 with a 1:7 twist.

They are not as accurate in my guns as 75 grain TAP..they are supposed to be barrier neutral ie good performance after defeating barriers.

They are 70 grain, but solid copper alloy. I'd assume theyre at least as long as a 77 grain SMK (the 70 grain Barnes is), so 1/8 is the bare minumum to stabilize them.

I've seen similar complaints with the 70 grain Barnes TSX, mostly with shorter barrels if memory serves.

I've seen good stuff with their 75 grain. Never dealt with the 70 though

Ya I never was able to get my hands on any of the 75 gr stuff, but I figured this would be a pretty decent load. The other stuff I have is a whole bunch of M855. Do you guys think this stuff is better?

Since I have yet to see any ballistic test on it (much less real world shooting) the answer would be "who knows?"
That said, M855 is notoriously mediocre at best, and all around crap at worst. See if you can find any quality 55-64 grain soft points (preferably bonded) to use for now, and then hunt down some better quality once ammo availability gets a little better.

Looks good, but it was conducted by the manufacturer. Maybe it won't be long before a third party tests it. I haven't had very good luck with copper (Barnes) bullets in my hunting loads so I generally steer clear of them.
