Steve Moses will conduct an Edged Weapons Dynamics Course on May 20, 2012 designed expressly for concealed carry holders, Level 3 and 4 security officers, and law enforcement. This is not to be confused with a knife-fighting class, but instead exposes the student to critical skills and principles that are useful for dealing with an attacker armed with a knife or blunt instrument in situations where time, distance, and cover are in short supply. Students will learn means of defending themselves effectively using empty hands, improvised objects, everyday carry knives, and handguns. Students are not required to bring a knife.
Class size is limited to 10 students. Gear requirements are as follows:
• Loose fitting clothes
• Athletic shoes or boots
• Leather or Mechanix-style gloves
• Mouthpiece
• Protective cup
• Wraparound eye protection or goggles
• Water/Gatorade/Snacks

About the instructor: Steve Moses has conducted weapons and tactics courses since 1994. He has studied multiple martial arts, including Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, and Filipino knife fighting. Steve is active in the field of VIP/Asset protection, and a state-certified Level 4 Personal Protection Officer Instructor. Moses is a reserve deputy constable and member of a multi-precinct Special Response Group.
