When pulled over (traffic stop) in Tn., is it rquired that you tell the officer that you have a loaded gun in the vehicle or on your person?

No, but if you are smart, you will immediately do so. Dispatch can tell if you have a permit and if you dont say anything, the cop is gonna wonder why not.

Here's the drill:

Stop car in safe location.
Turn off car.
Place car keys on dash.
Turn on emergency flashers.
Turn on overhead light (unless bright daylight)
Pull out DL and HCP.
Place both hands on steering wheel, approx 10 and 2 o'clock.
Instruct all passengers to keep hands immobile and in sight.
In your first sentence to the officer, state"Officer, I have a TN HCP and my weapon is located on my right hip" (or wherever). "What do you want me to do?"
Follow officer instructions.

This will buy you a great deal of points with most cops. The HCP tells them you arent a felon (at least until not recently) and the above tells them you have a brain and arent a dick.

Doing all the above will also cover you for all states that you can carry legally in. Good habit to get into imo.
