Sunday would be the only day that I can go too. Probably drag my little girl around there for a few hours..... poor thing. Last show I lucked into a fantastic Colt King Cobra, 4" barrel, shiny stainless finish, LNIB for $750. Who knows, maybe I'll luck into another snake for the collection.

What is this...... "tax return" that you speak of? Some new Obama induced spending incentive plan? Hmmmmmmm..... I'll have to do more research on this.

Haha. we are first time home buyers too so I am really getting a great chance to put that spending incentive money from Obama to use. LOL

About 3 hours away from Fayette(nam). It's on a frontage road, just off of I-26. The address is:
206 Jamil Road
Columbia, SC 29210
Plug that into MapQuest and away you go.....

I will be dragging my Wife and Daughter there in the morning at open time. A coworker was going to go, but backed out, has visitors in from out of town, so I asked the wife if she wanted to go to the Craft Fair at the Fairgrounds, only catch, she has to put up with the Gun Show first!! Got half of my tax return still to help stimulate my gun collection!!

Well, I decided to go to the gun show today and save my little girl the pain of being towed around things that she doesn't have any interest in (yet).
Guns were abundant of all kinds and AR's were king it would seem. Prices on them were a bit high, but I wasn't really looking for one so I don't know if they would come off the tagged price to a more reasonable range. Ammo was plentiful, but going fast and at a premium. I bought the last ammo can of 500 rounds of .40 S&W from Georgia Arms for $135.00 plus tax ($143.10 OTD). I also got 100 rounds of .357 Magnum rounds from Georgia Arms for $44.00 ($46.64 OTD). I picked up a 1000 round case of PMC 9mm 115 grain FMJ for $209.00 and 400 rounds of 5.56 , 62 grain FMJ BT, for $190.00 (M855 of Serbian manufacture). Then I couldn't resist a Colt Python that was calling my name. I've been keeping my eye out for one for some time now and couldn't resist the pull of this one. It's a 6" nickel model, vintage 1971 by the serial number, in LNIB condition. No paperwork or test target, but it does have the old style matching two piece box with the red felt lining. $1,500 OTD. A very expensive day, but worth the trip.
Happy hunting to everyone else that chooses to go....

Sir,
You have good taste and a depleted gun fund! Enjoy your work of the gunsmiths art.

I skipped to ammo, this time. I did find a Glock 30SF for just over $500 new and got an unissed Yugo SKS for $360, kinda pricey compared to couple years ago, but guess not bad for todays time. It was clean, except the cosmoline, all numbers matched. I just got done cleaning it, no rust or pitting at all, bright bore and the gas piston was very shiny. Looks as if it was one of those "unissued" Yugos. All in all, not a bad day, still had money left over, should have hit up some ammo, oh well, next time, as well as getting a couple of PMags.

I might go on Sunday. I'm a little worn out and very roasted from spending the day over in Irmo watching my daughter play soccer, but I'm going to try to make it to the show.
How were the AKs and AK accessories??

Not too much for accessories accept for mags. Not too many AKs at all. saw a couple for $800 , even a few more over a Grand!! and people were looking at them
There was one table that had 2 Romanian AKs, one with a side folding stock and a regular stock, they wanted mid $500s, was going to try and talk them down, that was until I picked up the Yugo SKS.

Well, I saw one decent deal today -- HK Tactical 9mm for $750; I passed since I already have the .45. I would have gotten it, but...I just don't "need" it, ya know?
I did pick up a case (500 rounds) of Winchester 115gr. 9mm for $115 plus tax ($123) which I didn't think was too bad.
All in all -- it was a decent show. Too much of the same old crap though.
