Early G23. Send off for upgrades??

I asked this in the main forum, but thought I'd just check here first.

I have a very early Glock 23, Circa Oct. 1990, serial RS1xx. Marked ".40", not ".40 S&W"

I have owned it since new and it in excellent shape with a maybe 2,000 rounds thorugh it.

I'm planning on sending it off to Glock for upgrading, but just wanted to check in here first and make sure it wasn't something that collectors might look for. I doubt it, but again, just thought I would check...

You've had a glock for almost 20 years?! I'm so jealous! Good luck on the upgrades! I've got almost 2500 through my G23 since I bought it new about 10 months ago. Not a single problem yet, that thing goes bang every single time, sure as the sun comes up in the mornings!

What upgrades?

My 23 is a Sep 1990 (per the listings here) PX 2XX. Glock just rebuilt it a couple of weeks ago, so the internals are new, but everything else is original. I never noticed the .40 vs. the .40 S&W until I saw your post.

G23's up to and including Serial Number SL999US are eligible for a free internals upgrade. Contact Warranty Service Department at 1-770-432-1202 for shipping instructions.
