Does anybody else like camo? I recently moved to CA and totally new terrain and vegitation than my old hunting grounds. The hills are weeds with blue oak trees and shrubbery, while the wide valley bottoms are full of grape vines and fruit trees. Around here it looks like this:

I went for a hike and brought along some of my camo to test which pattern, if any, would do.

It seems that the best pattern for concealment near cover was Mossy Oak, followed by Real Tree Hardwoods, and then the original Real Tree (with eucalyptis leaves). I suppose Real Tree Xtra Brown and Advantage would work well too and probably Desert Tiger Stripe for cover in the weeds, but I don't have any. Woodland camo stuck out like a sore thumb.

Can't hardly see me, eh?
