You do not even need a bill of sale. You should only sell to a Utah resident who you do not know to be a felon. Put it on KSL. I have purchased a few guns from their classified section in the last month. It gets a lot of action.

One guy I bought from had never sold a gun before and called BCI. They told him that most people get a bill of sale but that nothing was required. He wanted me to have the bill of sale notarized until I talked him out of it.

I bought a Yugo Underfolder last week and the guy did not even want to see my ID. IN Utah you still have some rights. It is a cash and carry state. Take the money, give the gun and walk.

I'll second the KSL classifieds, I've bought and sold quite a few guns on there in the last few years. When I'm selling, I ALWAYS require a bill of sale and to at least see a driver's license or preferably a ccw permit. If someone does something stupid with a gun I've sold I want to at least be able to show that I had legally sold it.

Now, when I'm buying I don't care, but will gladly do a bill of sale if the person selling requests/requires it.

I've bought a K31 and some reloading stuff off of KSL.
Incidentally, what are you selling?

I sold a Taurus .357 and it only took 4 minutes on KSL. I ended up writing a bill of sale and writing his dl # down. Thanks for the help

ksl.com

It is a Utah news channel/paper/website I think. You can get all of your local news there as well as buy and sell pretty much anything. The classifieds are great. You can post several pics, there are hardly any restrictions and there is a lot of activity. Guns are bought and sold minutes after being posted if they are priced right. You can also buy couches, tables, baby toys, pets, etc on the KSL classifieds.

I just moved to Arizona this week and am super-bummed that there doesn't seem to be any comparable classifieds site here.
