Hope your mom didn't have a bad experience with the TSA. Don't know if you can believe everything you here about what going on with airport security right now or not.

No, they ACTUALLY left her alone this time!
I was worried about it because they tend to single her out for some reason!
But she said that she walked right through this time without being scanned or
touched!

That's good for her.
I haven't flown since back in July but I'm the one who always got singled out so I can't imagine what it would be like now. Altho I don't see how it could be any worse.

Last Spring, they stopped me coming bck from Hawaii after they scanned my backpack. The security guy wasn't very nice. He thought I had fruit in my bag, which is NOT suppose to be taken out of HA. But he was bright red, after being so mean, when it was miniature rum cakes (gifts). He stumbled all over himself trying to be kind to me when he realized he was wrong.
My family was frightened for a few moments...about what was happening.
So, I was happy my mom had an easy time of it.
