This is the song that my fifth graders chose as their song last year in the slide show I made for their graduation...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcwbl...eature=related
We had a hard time coming up with which version to use.
They were a really tough group last year, but I never cried harder when they graduated!
I'll actually miss them this year. Quite a few of them returned to say hi for Open House Friday night!

wow! You know, it's only been 3 months....
I actually had about four songs that we used...the kids picked all of them but that was there first choice. I have them on my school laptop...which I worked on all day yesterday....until after midnight. It's in my briefcase sitting by the door ready to go in my car to go back to school dark and early in the morning.
One of them was.... G-rated...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z58I2ysLLqM
We have a school version about reading. Really cool.
But even my kindergartners....are adorable when I play this while they are working on their computers!
I'll have to look tomorrow, if I have time to refresh my memory...unless I have it on this laptop, somewhere and just forgot about it. I'll see.

I found it it my Itunes.
I knew I had them all together somewhere. I burned the CD here!
Another by Michael Jackson...Keep The Faith.
Remember...the children voted and chose.
Of course, I had to remind them that their parents would be listening to them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHjVGyzobgI
AND Green Day....Time of your life
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwnoNVOj1Fs
I thought that they did a good job!
I had trouble with one teacher getting the photos last year, and told my boss, it was going to be the last year for the show. When he found out who was not cooperating with me....he told me if he got his way, she wouldn't be giving either ONE OF US a hard time next year.
Well, at the end of the year last year, he put her from teaching fifth grade to teaching kindergarten. She did NOT come back this year.
So, I am sure I'll do it again. Everyone else really does work well with me about getting this pulled together!

Thanks!
I often feel like I'm talking to myself!
As much as I might complain at times....I do love my job...and my students!
I definitely love my co-workers!
I'm truly blessed. I have the best team anywhere! We always have each other's backs. We've all worked together...the special area teachers...for over 6 years now, and for the most part...we are just a well oiled machine.
We KNOW how we each function...and we get along great!
Other than the lack of money...I love my job!
Money is NOT the only satisfier in lfe!
I've had the money...and it's very nice. But I LOVE the people I work with...
It's nice when we all speak up for each other...even when no one else is around!
I was talking to my boss, about my job...he is asking me to take on a new area of responsibility. I'm willing to try. I'm a little scared....but very excited. I know my team will have my back through this new endeavor...though it shouldn't impact them at all.
The conversation went to my team, and I said how great they are. He said to me, that he has NEVER had such a GREAT group of special area teachers in any school he's worked at.
I'm very optimistic for this new year in so many ways!

My husband is a Southern Rock and Roll dude!
Every once in a while he surprises me with a romantic tune.
I KNOW of exactly three songs he has for me. (I have old boyfriends that have more than that for me! ) I suppose that makes his all the more special!
That's nice that you appreciate that in her.
I know he does...and he does let me enjoy my music.
I love to dance....he does not.
When we got married, I was in upper management with the hospital. So, we had command appearances to make at many parties. I told him he could dance with me or watch me dance. He dances with me, and always has!
I think I appreciate his music...and he tries with mine! (I just asked him if he appreciates my music or tolerates it....he smiled and said, "We share our music together. I appreciate your music.")

The three songs that I know he has for me....
I'm sure there are more...but these are the Three without hesitation...
in order in our lives...
He's a serious guy...when it comes to me. He scared me at first.
Herb Alpert....This Guy's In Love With You (This record is from several years before I even met him)...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OP54...eature=related
The Moody Blues...For My Lady.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5NSzRsFPyM
Firehouse....Love of A Lifetime.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ETENrv8cnU&ob=av2e
He's an awesome husband. 32 years of marriage. 4 years of dating and engagement prior to that. 3 songs. I guess I'm due a new song any day now! A song for each decade!

That does NOT include the songs from our wedding...which define us.
