Firepower closes in Monroe...

Well, I was sad to find out today that Firepower in Monroe has shut down due to lack of business???
I hope they will open another indoor range in the area soon.

How can a Range have a lack of business in todays gun buying market ?

Had one range here in Raleigh close down last March. an Accidental discharge caused the range to close down. Liability and insurance costs may have had something else to do with it.

Ammo is still to expesive, so ppl may not be going to ranges as much, vs going out to a 'friends' field.

The firepower in Matthews always seems to have a lot of activity. They are open on Sundays now too.

As far as gun stores in the Charlotte area, they are the best IMO of course

It is sad that Firepower in Matthews is the best Charlotte has to offer as far as ranges go. They are a little overpriced, but not horribly.
My parents live in charlotte, and we shoot there when I am in town. The new side is relatively nice, but the old side needs some work.

went to Firepower on Sunday, and it was EMPTY. There was no one on the show room floor, and only two people in the lanes. Probably my best experience there.

Has anyone found the service to be quite rude there occasionally? One guy in particular (don't know his name). Kind of expensive, too. But, beggars can't be choosers.

I'm thrilled the Monroe range is open again. It's so airy, clean and has a great viewing area. I even saw signs pointing the way to it off 74!

The Elite Training Academy's Range is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays only.

There is one guy in Firepower who is a jerk. he is a shorter guy and thinks he is Steven Segal. I avoid him, but everyone else there is very nice. I have bought some stuff there and shoot there regularly. Occasionally I buy accessories. Reasonable prices on most stuff.
