So how did you spend your weekend?
I spent mine teaching Boy Scouts to shoot.
24 scouts, 4,200 rounds of .22LR, 1,000 rounds of 20 Ga., and 500 rounds of 12 ga along with 1,500 clay pigeons.

What did I do this weekend?
I spent Sunday here: http://www.pgpft.com/pg.htm
(Defensive Handgun II)
I was rolled in the dirt, wrestled to the ground by off duty SWAT officers, thrown from a chair (not once but four times) to simulate a surprise attacker and to disorient me in relation to the threat target, moved quickly to and from cover positions while engaging multiple targets, and shooting moving targets both static and reactionary. A worthy expenditure of five hundred rounds of ammo and eight hours of your time. This is some of the best training you will find anywhere and at a reasonable price. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
I feel like I have been stomped by a twenty mule team.
It was the most fun I'm allowed to have in the absence of my beloved!

Several of us got our NRA rifle and shotgun so we could teach our Scouts and qualify them for merit badges. We had our first outing with our Scouts back in March. One of the parent knows the folks from Camp Big Mac (Markham) and we used their range.

It's near Alderson WV, just outside of Lewisburg. It's a couple of hours away from me but I go at least once a year. The drills I described in the earlier post are from the Defensive Handgun II and Advanced class.
I've attended classes at PFT with people from several neighboring states, civilians, law enforcement, military personnel (pre deployment) even elected officials.
Check out the website, it explains it better than I can. I will say that this training is the real deal, it will not disappoint.

We visited Gettysburg on Friday and Saturday, saw Les Miserables at the Fulton Opera House in Lancaster, PA on Sunday, spent Monday night with our daughters in Fairfax, VA.
Pat's classes in WV are among the best in the USA.

You mentioned Fairfax in your post, I went to the National Firearms Museum a couple of weeks ago. That place is awesome! Although I was disappointed to see few Glocks in their displays!

My daughter shoots at the NRA range and another nearby range. Maybe I can visit the museum our next time in the area. We also plan to take a tour of the Manassas Civil War Battlefield.
