Cover them in grape jelly instead....the cheap stuff. The cheaper the better.
Aslo try this,
one pack little smokies', one jar grape jelly, one mini crock pot and tooth picks to use gettin 'em out of the crock and into your mouth.
Its a party pleaser...people will ask what you secret ingredient is.
Combine in small crock pot and let it go for an hour or so. The jelly will melt leaving you with little smokies in a 'secret sauce'.
