need help with a oldie
In a trade with my father i got one of his old glocks . I was planing on using it as a truck gun in my get home bag but upon receiving it i took a long look at it and thought it could be a collectors item . So what i really need help with is if this glock is worth anything extra where i should just put it up or use it as i planed , like a regular worker .
So i looked up the sn# and with no further boring background story it is a 17 sn# GG , june of 89 gen 2 with austrian marks . It has all original black internals , original mags , tupperware box , cleaning rod , manual and mag loader . Everything it came with new and its in Great shape never holster carried and hardly shot . No glock smile or anything. Its in better shape then my gen 4 19 that i bought less than a year ago . So what do you guys think its worth ?

It's cool to me in the aspect that is an older Glock...as far as having any added value...I would say it does not. It should bring maybe $25 more than a normal Gen2 since you say its in great shape.

Hi mushroom, welcome to GlockTalk!
How ironic you mention that serial prefix. My first Glock was a GG! They're basically shooters, but as time goes buy, and these become old, one in really good shape would be worth a slight premium, like $25, as LS mentioned above. But of course, one thing precludes the other. If you use it much, that $25 bump disappears. If you put it away like your dad did for 20 years, the bump will definitely grow bigger on a nice-shape pistol...

I have a GG6xx gun that was a June of 89 IIRC. It is beat up, ugly and a track driver. My first duty gun. I won't be giving this one up. Small world.

Now that's what I call a perfect "truck gun."
"Its in better shape then my gen 4 19 that i bought less than a year ago."
And, it doesn't need additional manufacturing, either.
